Each inert ceramic ball must be fired at high temperature to achieve stable and reliable chemical and physical properties. The picture above shows the high-temperature firing process of 20mm poreless inert ceramic balls. The entire firing process takes about 30 hours to complete.
The production of perforated ceramic balls often requires metal molds to be used in conjunction with production. The metal mold shown in the picture is for the production of 30mm perforated inert ceramic balls. By using a semi-wet and semi-dry clay block, placing it on the mold and pressing, a semi-finished perforated inert ceramic ball can be obtained immediately.
Of course, the semi-finished porous ceramic balls produced cannot be immediately fired at high temperature, because there is still a lot of water in the semi-finished porous ceramic balls, and if they are directly fired, there is a possibility that the finished product will crack, which will affect the problem of the compressive strength of the inert ceramic balls.
So, if we don't need to ship these porous ceramic balls immediately, we can let them air-dry naturally. If the customer needs them urgently, we can put the semi-finished inert ceramic balls in a drying room to quickly remove moisture. Before firing, we will also process these inert ceramic balls to improve their appearance and reduce the number of edges and corners.
