Case of Ceramic Ball Manufacturers

Methanol Synthesis: In the methanol synthesis reactor, inert alumina ceramic balls are placed at the bottom and top of the catalyst bed. The ceramic balls at the bottom support the catalyst to ensure its even distribution and facilitate the uniform passage of reaction gases, preventing the catalyst from shifting due to gas flow impact; the ceramic balls at the top cover the catalyst to avoid direct impact of upper materials on the catalyst, prolonging the service life of the catalyst and ensuring the stable progress of methanol synthesis reactions.

Fertilizer Production: In the shift process of ammonia synthesis, inert alumina ceramic balls are used to support and protect the shift catalyst. They can remain stable under high temperature, high pressure, and in the presence of gases such as carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide, enabling the shift reaction to proceed efficiently under suitable conditions, converting carbon monoxide into carbon dioxide and hydrogen, providing qualified raw gas for subsequent ammonia synthesis.

Hydrogenation Reforming Unit: In the hydrogenation reforming process of petroleum, inert alumina ceramic balls are used to protect the hydrogenation catalyst in the reactor. They can filter out solid impurities in the feedstock oil to prevent impurities from blocking the catalyst pores, and at the same time disperse the gas flow to ensure sufficient contact between the gas flow and the catalyst, improving the hydrogenation reforming effect, effectively removing sulfur, nitrogen, oxygen and other impurities from petroleum, and improving the quality of oil products.

Reforming Unit: In the reforming reactor, inert alumina ceramic balls serve as the support and covering material for the catalyst. On the one hand, they bear the catalyst to ensure its stability in high-temperature and hydrogen-rich environments; on the other hand, they ensure the uniform distribution of reaction materials, promoting the rearrangement of hydrocarbon molecules in the reforming reaction, increasing the yield of aromatics, and producing high-octane gasoline blending components or serving as raw materials for aromatics production.
